At the Crossroads of History and Culture - The Landmark of Nakamachi
The Kurassic-kan buildings were part of a nearby sake (rice wine) brewery built in 1888 (Meiji Era) and in 1923 (Taisho Era). They were refurbished and moved to the current location.
Now the main building is a symbol of the Nakamachi Street, a popular street in Matsumoto, and used as a rental space for exhibitions, events, tea ceremony lessons, flower arrangement lessons and more. Next to the main building is a tearoom and cafe.
